Abstract:Objective:To study the feasibility of active surveillance of linezolid-associated thrombocytopenia in inpatients based on computer-assisted screening and alert system. Methods: Based on inpatients' active monitor and assessment system of adverse drug events, we formulated a 10-month retrospective monitoring plan for linezolid-associated thrombocytopenia and set the event configurator of drug-induced thrombocytopenia. The positive warning cases were manually re-evaluated. The positive predictive value and the characteristics of thrombocytopenia induced by linezolid were analyzed. Results:A total of 899 cases using linezolid were automatically monitored, and there were 41 warning cases screened by the system, the runtime of this system was 5 minutes and 41 seconds. After manual re-evaluation by clinical pharmacists, the positive predictive value was 60.98%, the positive predictive value of intractable case was 13.33%, incidence rate of linezolid-associated thrombocytopenia was 15.72%. The age, weight, body mass index, critical disease were signiifcant factors for the occurence of thrombocytopenia associated with linezolid therapy. Conclusion:The inpatient's active monitor and assessment system of adverse drug events can be used for evaluating drug-associated thrombocytopenia and predicting the characteristics as well as the risk factors of adverse drug reaction, which can realize early prevention of serious drug-induced diseases and has a high practical value.
