Abstract:Objective: To investigate the clinical necessity of therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of mycophenolate mofetil. Methods:The peak and trough concentrations of mycophenolic acid in plasma were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Plasma concentrations of mycophenolic acid in 83 cases of renal transplant recipients collected from October to December in 2012 were analyzed. Results: The valley concentrations of mycophenolic acid in 46 patients were within the range from 0.34μg·mL-1 to 3.99μg·mL-1. The peak concentrations of mycophenolic acid in 37 cases were within the range from 0.91μg·mL-1 to 12.78μg·mL-1. The concentrations of mycophenolic acid varied greatly with a ifxed-dosage. Conclusion:There is a deifnite clinical value for therapeutic drug monitoring of mycophenolate mofetil.
