Anaphylactic shock induced by potassium sodium dehydroandroan drographolide succinate for injection

Abstract:One 2-year-old male patient was hospitalized for herpangina and fever. The patient was intravenously given potassium sodium dehydroandroan drographolide succinate 80 mg and cefmetazole sodium 1.0 g, once a day. At the fourth day, the patient ifnished the infusion of cefmetazole sodium, and suffered allergic shock with rash in body and lower limbs during the infusion of potassium sodium dehydroandroan drographolide succinate for 3 minutes. Then the medication was stopped immediately, adrenaline, promethazine and the inhalation of oxygen were given. Ten minutes later, the symptoms relieved, and rash abated gradually forty minutes later. In the next morning, the rash disappeared completely and the life signs were stable. The patient was discharged in the afternoon.
