Analysis of antibacterials used in hospitalized patients of maternity department

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the application of antibacterials in hospitalized patients of maternity department for providing reference in clinic. Methods:Hospitalized patients in 2012 were set as intervention group and those in 2011 were set as control group. The rates in irrational use and utilization of antibacterials, postoperative infection, specimens inspection, average hospitalization time and cost were statistically analyzed. Results: The rates of irrational use and utilization of antibacterials, postoperative infection, specimens inspection, average hospitalization time and cost in intervention group were 2.75%, 56.27%, 2.43%, 98.74%, (6.15 ± 1.16) d and (3 726.34 ± 68.16) Yuan respectively, which significantly improved compared with control group. Conclusion:The utilization of antibacterials obviously improved through synthetic measures, such as executing regime of rational use of antibacterials, training, administrative supervision, activities supervision, etc.
