Abstract:One 11-year-old child patient with yellow urine and itching was hospitalized after taking cefaclor for 4 days. Clinical diagnosis was acute cholestatic drug-induced liver injury. Symptomatic treatments such as protecting liver function, depressing transaminase and abating jaundice were given to the patient after admission. Considering that the patient was a child and liver injury was acute exacerbation, pharmaceutical cares focused on rational selection of hepatoprotective drugs, establishment of glucocorticoid individualized treatment, adverse reactions monitoring and intervention of drug interaction. The patient's compliance increased and the potential medication risk decreased by medication education. Four weeks later, the patient was discharged with normal liver function.
