Disorder of glucose metabolism induced by indapamide sustained-release tablet

Abstract：One 64-year-old female patient with hypertension was given indapamide sustained-release tablets 2.5 mg once a day. Three weeks later, the patient developed thirst, polyuria, marasmus. The weight decreased 5 kg. Her blood glucose was 13.4 mmol· L-1, and the urine sugar showed (++++). The drug was stopped. Three days later, her blood glucose and urine sugar returned to normal, the symptoms of thirst and polyuria disappeared.
