Frequent urination induced by losartan potassium

Abstract:One 57-year-old male patient with a history of hypertension for 30 years was administered amlodipine besylate tablets and bisoprolol fumarate tablets. His blood pressure still fluctuated 150/90 mm Hg, then losartan potassium tablets 100 mg was administered once a day. Frequent urination occurred at night, and the symptom was more obvious in the following week, with increased frequency of urination, about one time per hour in the daytime and 4–5 times at night. So losartan potassium tablet was switched to irbesartan tablet. Symptom of frequent urination was improved in the second day. Then the patient urinated 3–4 times in the daytime and 1–2 times at night subsequently without complaining other discomfort.
