Abstract:Objective: To study the efficacy of tacrolimus ointment in the treatment of allergic contact dermatitis in mice. Methods:The DNCB was applied on the dorsum of mice to produce the allergic contact dermatitis models. A total of sixty mice were randomly divided into normal control group, model group, halometasone cream group, momestasone furoate group, hydrocortisone butyrate cream group and tacrolimus ointment group, with 10 mice in each group. The distinctions of inflammation degree of skin lesion, quantity of inflammatory cell in histopathological section, and levels of IL-4 and IFN-γin lesion were detected. Results: Application of the tacrolimus ointment can effectively alleviate the inflammation degree of lesion on dorsum of mice, reduce quantity of inflammatory cell in histopathology, and adjust the levels of IL-4 and IFN-γ. The treatment effect of the tacrolimus ointment was equivalent to that of the halometasone cream, and was superior to that of the momestasone furoate and hydrocortisone butyrate cream. Conclusion:Topical tacrolimus ointment had the obvious treatment effect on allergic contact dermatitis.
