A Case of Pseudohypofibrinogenemia Caused by Dabigatran Etexilate
Abstract:Dabigatran etexilate is a novel non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulant with the advantages of rapid onset, short half-life, and stable plasma concentration. Clinical studies [1-2] have shown that dabigatran etexilate has non-inferior or superior efficacy in preventing ischemic stroke and systemic embolism in patients with atrial fibrillation compared to warfarin, and it significantly reduces the risk of intracranial hemorrhage. It is considered unnecessary to routinely monitor and adjust the dose. This article reports a case of pseudohypofibrinogenemia caused by dabigatran etexilate in the Jingshan Medical Area of the Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital, aiming to enhance clinical comprehensive analysis ability and distinguish the impact of drugs on coagulation function testing. This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the 7th Medical Center of the Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital (Approval No. S2025-074-01), and all patients and their families provided informed consent.
