Abstract:Objective To review the effect of noninvasive glucose monitoring system(GluRing)based on optical principle in intervention of blood sugar control and self-management in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)complicated by type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods The patients with stable CHD complicated by T2DM(n=79)were selected from the Seventh Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from June 2024 to Dec.2024,and they were randomly divided into experimental group(continuous glucose monitoring group)and control group(routine management),with a 3-month follow-up.The accuracy of blood glucose measurement, changes in glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)before and after the trial, and the scores of the Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities(SDSCA)were evaluated. Results There was no statistically significant difference between the results of GluRing and venous blood testing. The level of HbA1c decreased significantly in experimental group compared to that before 3 months(7.40±1.61,Δ=-0.67±2.30,P<0.05),and SDSCA score was improved significantly(46.79±14.93,P<0.05).Conclusion GluRing can help patients to get continuous blood glucose monitoring, and improve self-management and treatment compliance through real-time feedback, demonstrating potential for clinical promotion.
