30-day readmission rate in Chinese heart failure patients:a Meta analysis based on real-world studies

Abstract：Objective To conduct a meta-analysis of the 30-day readmission rate of Chinese heart failure patients after discharge,in order to provide a reference for optimizing clinical quality control and medical care.Methods CNKI,WanFang Database,VIP Database,China Biomedical Database,PubMed,Cochrane Library,Embase,Web of Science,and CINAHL are searched from inception to September 25,2024.Meta-analysis was conducted by using Stata16.0.Results A total of 32 articles were included in this study.The meta-analysis results showed that the 30-day readmission rate of heart failure patients in China was 16.2%(95%CI:11.6%～21.3%).The subgroup analysis results show that patients with acute heart failure had a readmission rate of 18.7%(95%CI:15.7%～22.0%),those in central China 27.4%(95%CI:4.5%～59.9%),males8.8%(95%CI:7.1%～10.6%),and those aged 60～70 years 20.2%(95%CI:15.6%～25.3%)have higher readmission rates.Cohort studies 13.2%(95%CI:8.8%～18.3%)and studies published between 2018 and 2024 years reported lower readmission rates for heart failure patients(13.8%,95%CI:9.1%～19.2%).Conclusions Chinese heart failure patients have a high 30-day readmission rate.In the future,sufficient attention should be paid to the above points in clinical work or scientific research,and more targeted quality control standards should be developed to reduce readmission rates for heart failure patients and optimize the quality of medical care.
