A Case of Cardiac Arrhythmia Caused by Multiple Lipomatous Lesions with Extensive Myocardial Lipid Infiltration
Abstract:Currently, cardiac lipomas with a capsule can be treated with surgical resection. However, cases of widespread systemic lipomatous proliferation and extensive myocardial lipid infiltration with unknown causes are rare, and radical surgery is not possible. There is no consensus on treatment strategies. This article reports a 32-year-old female patient who was admitted due to a scalp mass and a cardiac mass. Laboratory tests showed no significant abnormalities, and gene testing did not reveal any abnormal mutations. The diagnosis was multiple fibrolipomas and myocardial lipid infiltration; the diagnostic and therapeutic process of arrhythmia and multiple ventricular tachycardias is described.
