Abstract:Objective To validate the differential expression of the TBL1XR1 gene in the peripheral blood of patients with coronary artery disease(CAD),and to assess the association between high TBL1XR1 expression and the risk of CAD by analyzing clinical data.Method Ninety-six CAD patients were randomly selected as the CAD group, and 98 non-CAD patients as the control group.Quantitative real-time PCR and Western blot were used to detect the expression of TBL1XR1 gene at the mRNA and protein levels in the CAD group and the control group, respectively.Clinical data was collected to investigate the association between high TBL1XR1 gene expression and CAD risk.Result At the transcriptional level,TBL1XR1 expression was significantly higher in the CHD group than in controls(0.13±0.09 vs.0.07±0.03;t=4.65,P<0.01).At the protein level, expression was also higher in the CHD group(0.41±0.19 vs.0.13±0.07;t=2.65,P=0.038).Logistic regression showed that high TBL1XR1 expression was associated with a 3.45-fold increased risk of CHD.Correlation analysis demonstrated positive correlations of TBL1XR1 expression with TG(r=0.56,P<0.01)and Gensini score(r=0.53,P<0.01),and a negative correlation with HDL-C(r=-0.59,P<0.01).Conclusion The expression of the TBL1XR1 gene is significantly upregulated in the peripheral blood of patients with CAD,making it an independent risk factor for CAD.The TBL1XR1 gene has important genetic reference value for risk assessment, diagnosis, and severity assessment of CAD.
