Abstract:Objective To study the application of optical coherence tomography(OCT)in emergency intervention without implantation for acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods AMI patients(n=60)underwent emergency percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)were chosen from Hospital of Chinese PLA the 81st Group Army, and were divided into groups A and B based on the results of coronary angiography(CAG)and optical coherence tomography. The clinical data and recent treatment outcomes of patients were analyzed by implementing different interventional therapy strategies. The curative effect and safety of OCT-guided emergency intervention without implantation for AMI were summed up.Results There were significant differences(P<0.05)in numbers of stents and drug-coated balloon(DCB)between 2 groups. However, there was no significant difference observed in PCI success rate, postoperative complications, and major adverse cardiovascular events within the first year after PCI between 2 groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The OCT-guided emergency intervention without implantation for AMI is safe and effective.Nonetheless, due to the small sample size and short follow-up period, further validation with a larger sample size is still required to assess its long-term safety.
