Abstract:Objective To observe the therapeutic effect and adverse reactions(ADR)of personalized medication therapy guided by genetic testing in patients with grade 3 hypertension. Methods The patients with grade 3 hypertension(n=86)were selected and divided randomly into routine group and personalized group(each n=43)from Ningde Municipal Hospital affiliated to Ningde Normal University from Oct.2021 to Oct.2023.The routine group was treated with antihypertensive drugs based on empirical guidelines, and personalized group received genetic testing and personalized medication treatment based on the test results. The antihypertensive effect and ADR incidence were compared in 2 groups. Results In personalized group, the percentages of patients who were sensitive to β receptor blockers, angiotensin Ⅱ receptor antagonists, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, diuretics and calcium channel blockers accounted for 46.51%,0%,32.56%,37.21%,and 53.49%,respectively.After treatment for 4 weeks, blood pressure(BP)decreased in 2 groups(P<0.05),and BP was lower in personalized group than that in routine group(P<0.05).The BP compliance rate was higher in personalized group than that in routine group(93.02%vs.72.09%,P<0.05).ADR incidence was lower in personalized group than that in routine group(6.98%vs.23.26%,P<0.05).Conclusion The personalized medication therapy guided by genetic testing can accurately regulate BP and reduce the occurrence of ADR in patients with grade 3 hypertension.
