Abstract:Objective To review the clinical efficacy of coronary artery bypass grafting(CABG)in patients with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF).Methods The patients underwent CABG(n=172)were retrospectively screened from People's Hospital of Daxing District of Beijing from Jan.2019 to Dec.2021.The patients were divided into reduced LVEF group(n=82),which had LVEF<50%on preoperative echocardiography, consisting of 50 males and 32 females aged from 55 to 78(65.3±8.6)years,and normal LVEF group(n=90),which had LVEF≥50%,consisting of 49 males and 41 females aged from 51 to 80(63.1±8.9)years.Results There were 3 cases died(1.7%)in perioperative period. The mortality was higher in reduced LVEF group than that in normal LVEF group(2.4%vs.1.1%,P<0.05).The implantation rate of intra-aortic balloon pumping(IABP)was higher in reduced LVEF group than that in normal LVEF group(31.7%vs.11.1%,P<0.05).The condition was severer in reduced LVEF group, and patients were commonly complicated by old myocardial infarction, ventricular aneurysm and mitral regurgitation. However, there were no statistical significance in length of hospital stay, number of anastomoses, postoperative drainage, secondary exploratory thoracotomy and infection rate of thoracic incision between 2 groups. Conclusion The risk and difficulty of CABG are higher and IABP implantation rate is higher in patients with reduced LVEF.
