Abstract:Objective To discuss research trends and hotspots in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris(UAP)with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)by using CiteSpace over the past 30 years. Methods A visual analysis on annual publication volume, authors, research institutions, and keywords was conducted taken CNKI database as the source for publicly available literature and by using CiteSpace software. Results The relevant literature published on CNKI on UAP treatment with TCM from Jan.1,1994 to Oct.1,2024.A total of 1,263 articles were included. The overall volume of research publications showed a fluctuating upward trend.Zhou Yabin was the most prolific author, and there were totally 32 core authors.Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was the primary research institution.Research hotspots have formed keywords with high intermediary centrality such as UAP,clinical research and nitric oxide, resulting in 10 clusters including angina pectoris, clinical efficacy and TCM.The emerging keywords over the past 3 y have been adverse reactions, myocardial injury and chest impediment. Conclusion This study visually illustrates the development of research in the field through visualization analysis, highlighting the unique advantages of TCM in UAP treatment.Future research should enhance collaboration among researchers and institutions, with a focus on the quality of clinical trials and mechanistic studies,to improve TCM clinical application value.
