An introduction on application of ferroptosis gene database

Abstract：Objective To briefly introduce composition offerroptosis gene database(FerrDb),demonstrate its usage with specific examples,and enable more researchers to recognize,understand and applyFerrDbto conduct researches on disease diagnosis,treatment and prognosis.Methods The application and operation methods of FerrDbwebsite submodules were discussed in subdatabase of FerrDbm including ferroptosis genes,inducers,inhibitors,and drugs and diseases related to ferroptosis.The visualization analysis tools related to ferroptosis genes on website were used to display prognosis,enrichment analysis and overall expression differences in regulatory factors of ferroptosis genes.Results FerrDb played a key role in ferroptosis researches.The gene or protein expressions ofnormal cells and disease cellsin different organs and their role in pathways were analyzed by using various visualization tools in FerrDb,which efficiently helped researchers identify potential disease therapeutic targets related to ferroptosis.Conclusion Through analysis on target genes or diseases in FerrDb,researchers have a deep understanding of the complex relationship among genes,pathways,diseases and drugs in ferroptosis context,thus valuable supports for related researches and clinical applications are provided.
