Effect of phased rehabilitation training on quality of life in elderly patients with coronary heart dis-ease

Abstract:Objective To discuss the influence of phased rehabilitation training on quality of life(QOL)in elderly patients with coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods The elderly patients with CHD(n=120)were chosen from Department of Cardiology in the Seventh Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from Nov.2023 to Dec.2024.The phased rehabilitation training was divided into 3 stages:acute phase,recovery phase and maintenance phase,aiming to gradually improve gradually patients'heart function and QOL.QOL was reviewed by using Scale of 36-item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36),and biochemical indexes and heart function indexes were collected.Results The SF-36 scores were significantly promoted by the phased rehabilitation training,especially in the dimensions of physiological,physiological and social function.The rates of score changes were,respectively 76.9%,38.1%,and 32.7%.The maximum improvement rate in biochemical indexes was 16.7%,and the maximum improvement rate in heart function indexes was 10%.Conclusion This study provides a scientific basis for the rehabilitation training,and suggests individualized rehabilitation programs,multidisciplinary teamwork,early start of rehabilitation training,and emphasis on psychological support,which is conducive for improving QOL in elderly CHD patients.
