Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship among apelin-13,secreted frizzled-related protein-1(SFRP-1)and coronary artery lesions in patients with hypertension(HTN).Methods The patients with HTN(ni=175)were chosen into HTN group and healthy controls(n=40)were chosen into control group from Affiliated Hospital of Yan'an University from Jan.2021 to Oct.2023.The HTN group was divided, according to results of coronary angiography(CAG),into coronary heart disease group(CHD group,n=53),coronary atherosclerosis group(CAS group,n=66)and CAG normal group(ri=56).The levels of apelin-13 and SFRP-5 were detected by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The risk factors for coronary artery lesions were analyzed by using multi-factor unordered Logistic regression analysis in HTN patients. Results The levels of apelin-13 and SFRP-5 decreased in HTN group compared with control group(P<0.05).The levels of apelin-13 and SFRP-5 were lower in CHD group than those in CAS group and CAG normal group, and were lower in CAS group than those in CAG normal group(P<0.05).The results of multi-factor unordered Logistic regression analysis showed that increased age and longer disease course were independent risk factors, and increased apelin-13 and SFRP-5 were independent protective factor of CAS and CHD in HTN patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The decreased levels of apelin-13 and SFRP-5 are closely correlated to occurrence and severity of coronary artery lesions in HTN patients.
