Abstract:Objective To study the correlation between meteorological factors and number of patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI).Methods The clinical materials were collected from patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI,n=3150)in the Sixth People's Hospital of Shanghai City from Jan.2007 to Dec.2016.There were totally 2379 patients selected in the study, among them 2079 patients with STEMI and 300 ones with non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(NSTEMI).The correlation between these materials and homochromous Shanghai meteorological data was analyzed. Results The number of STEMI patients was correlated to weekly data of temperature, humidity and wind speed. The factors of temperature(P<0.001)and humidity(P=0.005)were negatively correlated to number of STEMI patients, and wind speed(P<0.001)was positively correlated to number of STEMI patients, and atmospheric pressure was not correlated to number of STEMI patients.Humidity(P=0.005)and temperature(P=0.025)affected the number of patients with hyperlipidemia hospitalized due to STEMI.Conclusion The factors of temperature, humidity and wind speed affect the number of STEMI patients in hospital, and humidity and temperature are more significantly correlated to number of STEMI patients complicated by hyperlipidemia.
