Searching methods and evaluation of clinical trial registry platforms

Abstract：Systematic reviews and Meta-analysis are the cornerstone and one of optimal evidencesof evidence-based medicine.Systematic reviews should incorporate as much relevant evidences as possible to reduce bias and increase reliability of results so as to guide clinical practice.Clinical trial registry platforms are important channels for obtaining clinical trial data.However,the retrieving function of the most of current clinical trial registry platforms are imperfect,and there is difference among these platforms,which hampers reviewers in systematical and retrieving works.This paper provides the steps and precautions for using clinical trial registry platforms,andguides reviewers to collect clinical evidences based on these platforms.
