Abstract:Objective To review the effect of Gensini scoring system in the progression of coronary atherosclerotic lesions in elderly patients. Methods The patients with coronary heart disease(CHD,n=456)were chosen from the First Medical Center and the Seventh Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from Jan.2010 to Oct.2019.According to the progression of coronary angiography(CAG)and baseline comparison, the patients were divided into progression group(n=83)and non-progression group(n=373).The clinical baseline data and follow-up changes in blood fat were observed and compared in 2 groups. The difference in value of Gensini scores was statistically analyzed between 2 groups. Results The risk factors of progression of coronary atherosclerotic lesions included previous myocardial infarction(MI)history, increased C-reactive protein(CRP)and higher monocyte count. The levels of total cholesterol(TC)and non-high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(nHDL-C)in baseline and follow-up CAG were significantly higher in progression group than those in non-progression group(P<0.05).The Gensini scores were significantly higher in progression group than those in non-progression group[(66.2±43.8)vs.(46.7±33.1),HR=1.47(1.2~-1.79)].Conclusion It is preliminarily confirmed thatGensini scores,as common coronary artery scoring system in clinic practice, have important predictive value to the progression of coronary atherosclerotic lesions in elderly patients.
