A bibliometric analysis on myocardial bridge based on Web of Science

Abstract:Objective To overview comprehensively the research hotspots of myocardial bridges through bibliometric and visual analyses and to find future research directions.Methods The literatures about myocardial bridges were retrieved from Web of Science databases from 1991 to 2022,and given the bibliometric analysis by using VOSviewer,CiteSpace and R package"bibliometric".Results A total of 2030 English literatures were included in this study.The number of published articles showed an increasing trend year by year.These literatures came from 2333 institutes in 75 countries,and the United States of American and Columbia University were in the lead.Annals of Thoracic Surgery was the journal with the largest number of published relevant articles,and Tremmel Jennifer A was the author with the largest number of published papers.The most common keywords included myocardial bridge,heart failure,cardiogenic shock and myocardial infarction.Conclusion Based on investigations and researches,the pathology,pathophysiology,diagnostic methods,clinical symptoms and treatment of myocardial bridges may be the focus of future researches on myocardial bridges.
