Abstract:Objective To review systematically the influence of health management based on WeChat on level of blood pressure(BP)and medication compliance in hypertensive patients. Methods The databases of PubMed,EMbase,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,CNKI,Sinomed,WanFang Data and VIP were retrieve for searching Chinese and English literature about BP management based on WeChat in hypertensive patientsfrom database establishment time to Sept.2022.The literature was given a Meta-analysis by using RevMan5.4 softwareafter analyzing and assessing according to Cochrane assessment tool for risk of bias by 2 researchers. Results The study included 46 randomized controlled trials(RCT)with a total of 7919 patients, including 3961 patients in test group and 3958 patients in control group. The results of Meta-analysis showed that WeChat intervention, compared with routine intervention, can effectively reduce systolic blood pressure(MD=-12.19,95%CI:-14.65~-9.73,P<0.00001)and diastolic blood pressure(MD=-8.82,95%CI:-10.44~-7.20,P<0.00001),increase BP compliance rate(OR=3.7,95%CI:2.35~5.82,P<0.0001),and improve significantly medication compliance(OR=5.06,95%CI:3.29~7.77),P<0.00001)in hypertensive patients. Conclusion WeChat intervention has a significant positive impact on BP management in hypertensive patients, and more high-quality studies with standardized design and long intervention period are needed in the future to provide strong evidence on BP management based on WeChat intervention and address the growing healthcare needs of hypertensive patients.
