Abstract:Objective To the application effect of enhanced external counterpulsation combined with graded exercise rehabilitation training in elderly patients with chronic heart failure. Methods A total of 96 elderly patients with chronic heart failure diagnosed and treated in the rehabilitation Center,Suining Central Hospital, from January 2021 to January 2022 were selected as research objects and divided into experimental group(enhanced external counterpulsation combined graded exercise rehabilitation training,48 cases)and control group(graded exercise rehabilitation training,48 cases)according to different treatment methods. All patients completed treatment for a total of 6 weeks.Changes in cardiac function-related indexes and life quality scores were detected in each group. Results After six weeks of treatment, the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)and cardiac stroke volume in the experimental group and the control group were significantly increased, while the left ventricular final diastolic diameter(LVEDD)and left ventricular final systolic diameter(LVESD)were significantly decreased. The change degree of each index in the experimental group was higher than in the control group(P<0.05).After six weeks of treatment,N terminal B type natriuretic peptide precursor(NT-proBNP)was significantly reduced in both the experimental group and the control group, and the reduction degree of NT-proBNP in the experimental group was higher than in the control group(P<0.05).After six weeks of treatment, the 6-minute walking distance between the experimental and control groups was significantly higher than before treatment. The Minnesota Heart Failure Quality of Life Scale(MLHFQ)score was significantly lower. The change degree of each index in the experimental group was higher than in the control group(P<0.05).After six weeks of treatment, the heart function grading of the experimental group patients was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Enhanced external counterpulsation combined with graded exercise rehabilitation training can significantly improve the cardiac function and quality of life of elderly patients with chronic heart failure and exercise endurance.
