Abstract:Objective To investigate the differences in clinical efficacy and safety between simultaneous cardiovascular and cerebrovascular angiography and staged angiography. Methods Seventy-one patients admitted to our hospital for cerebrovascular and coronary angiography from October 2021 to October 2022 were selected and randomly divided into study and control groups. The study group consisted of 36 patients who underwent cerebrovascular and coronary angiography simultaneously, while the control group comprised 35 patients who underwent cerebrovascular and coronary angiography in separate sessions. The treatment effects of the two groups were evaluated by comparing the general clinical data, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular angiography results, surgical and hospitalization indexes, safety assessment indexes, and comfort satisfaction scores. Results After comparison, there were no statistical differences between the study group and the control group in terms of general clinical data, underlying disease and medication use,and vascular lesions(P>0.05).However,compared with the control group, patients in the study group had significantly lower X-ray exposure time and dose, shorter procedure time and lower cost, shorter average hospital stay, and lower incidence of postoperative complications,as well as higher patient comfort and satisfaction. Conclusion Simultaneous cardiovascular angiography is worthy of clinical promotion for detecting coronary and cerebrovascular lesions. It provides an early and clear diagnosis and guiding treatment while being safer than staged angiography. In addition,it can reduce hospitalization time and cost, and increase patient comfort and satisfaction.
