Abstract:Objective To discuss the significance of detection of postprandial blood lipid level for predicting risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease(ASCVD)in Chinese adults. Methods The cases aged from 35 to 74(n=979)were chosen by cluster sampling from the Sixth Medical Center,Chinese PLA General Hospital from Aug.2020 to Sept.2020.A questionnaire survey and physical examination were completed. The levels of fasting blood fat and postprandial blood lipid level 2 h after uniform breakfast were detected respectively. The metabolism features of fasting postprandial blood lipid levels, and correlation among them and body mass index(BMI),waist-to-height ratio(WHtR)and waist circumference(WC)were analyzed. Results In population aged from35 to 74,the comparison in fasting and postprandial blood lipid levels showed that level of postprandial triglyceride(TG)increased significantly that fasting TG,postprandial total cholesterol(TC)and high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C)levels decreased than fasting TC and HDL-C(P<0.001),and fasting and postprandial low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C)levels had no statistical difference(P>0.05)in adults. The levels of fasting and postprandial TG were positively correlated to BMI,WHtR and WC(P<0.01).The levels of fasting and postprandial HDL-C were negatively correlated to BMI,WHtR and WC(P<0.01).The correlation among postprandial TG level,BMI,WHtR and WC was higher than that among fasting TG level,BMI,WHtR and WC.Conclusion The postprandial blood lipid level is closely correlated to BMI,WHtR and WC,which,as fasting blood lipid level, can be taken in reviewing and predicting ASCVD risk as fasting blood lipid level in population aged from35 to 74.
