Abstract:Objective To provide suggestions for optimizing nursing through clinical studies in elderly patients with severe COVID-19 complicated by heart failure(HF).Methods The elderly patients with severe COVID-19 complicated by HF(n=80)were chosen from the Seventh Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from Nov.2022 to Mar.2023.All patients were divided, according to different nursing methods, into control group and test group(each n=40).The control group was given general nursing and test group was additionally given syndrome differentiation nursing. The data was compared in 2 groups before and after nursing. Results The scores of Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire(MLHFQ)had no significant difference between 2 groups before nursing(P>0.05),and MLHFQ scores were significantly lower in test group than those in control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate had significant difference between 2 groups(P<0.05)and it was higher in test group after nursing, which indicated that syndrome differentiation nursing was more effective in relieving patients'conditions. The psychological state was significantly improved in test groups after syndrome differentiation nursing, and there was one case of nausea and vomiting during the nursing. Conclusion After elderly patients with severe COVID-19 complicated by HF are given syndrome differentiation nursing, the total effective rate is improved, which is worthy of clinic application.
