Abstract:Objective To study the correlation between infection status of Helicobacter pylori(HP)and glycometabolism, and influence of eradication or new infection of HP on glycometabolism. Methods The subjects(n=1243)received physical examination were chosen into this retrospective study from Specialty Medical Center of Chinese PLA Rocket Force from 2018 to 2019.According to their HP infection status from 2018 to 2019,all subjects were divided into positive-positive group(n=235),positive-negative group(n=67),negative-negative group(n=899)and negative-positive group(n=42).The parameters of blood glucose were compared between positive-positive group and negative-negative group to review the correlation between HP infection and glycometabolism, meanwhile parameters of blood glucose were compared between positive-negative group and negative-positive group. Results The levels of body mass index(BMI,P=0.012)and fasting blood glucose(FBG,P=0.035)increased in positive-positive group compared with negative-negative group. The level of glycated hemoglobin(HbAlc)decreased in 2019 compared with that in 2018 in positive-negative group(P=0.043).The levels of FBG(P=0.016)and postprandial blood glucose(PBG,P=0.003)increased in 2019 compared with those in 2018 in negative-positive group. Conclusion HP infection is correlated to higher parameters of blood glucose, and the parameters will increase or decreased after HP infection or eradication, which indicates there is a causal relationship between HP and glycometabolism.
