Abstract:Objectives To systematically evaluate the effects of exposure to different elevations on the risk of hypertension. Methods PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,SinoMed and CNKI databases were searched by computer, and literature related to hypertension at different altitudes were collected from the database establishment to May 8,2022.After literature screening and data extraction by 2 researchers independently,RevMan5.3 software was used for bias risk assessment and Stata11.0 software was used for meta-analysis.Results A total of 25 studies were included, and the results of the random effects model meta-analysis showed that the risk of hypertension in people living at high altitudes was higher than that in people living at low altitudes(OR=1.35,95%CI:1.16~1.58,P<0.001).Conclusion High altitudes may increase the risk of high blood pressure.
