Abstract:Objective To investigate the predictive value of serum cholesterol metabolic markers(squalene and sitoesterol)to slow flow(SF)during percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)in patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndromes(NSTE-ACS).Methods The materials of NSTE-ACS patients(n=238)undergone PCI were retrospectively analyzed in Beijing Anzhen Hospital from Jan.2017 to Dec.2019.All patients were divided, according to SF occurrence during PCI,into SF group(n=90)and NSF group(n=148).The baseline materials,PCI status and levels of serum cholesterol metabolic markers(squalene and sitoesterol)were compared between 2 groups. The influence factors of SF and predictive value of serum cholesterol metabolic markers to SF were analyzed. Results The level of serum cholesterol absorption marker(sitoesterol),Syntax scores, number and length of implanted stents and level of serum high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)all were significantly higher in SF group than those in NSF group. The results of multi-factor regression analysis showed that sitosterol and stent length were independent factors for predicting SF during PCI in NSTE-ACS patients. The results of ROC curve analysis showed that when sitosterol was above 15.02 mg/L,its predictive value to SF was the highest, and its AUC was 0.787(95%CI:0.726~0.848,P=0.000),sensitivity was 66.7%and specificity was 85.8%.Conclusion The level of serum cholesterol absorption marker(sitoesterol)has a higher predictive value to SF during PCI in NSTE-ACS patients, and it can be taken to guide PCI and reducing SF occurrence during PCI.
