Abstract:Objectives To evaluate the reporting and methodological quality of network meta-analyses(NMAs)of migraine interventions. Methods PubMed,Embase,Web of Science, and CNKI were searched to collect relevant NMAs from database inception to March 4,2022.Two reviewers independently screened literature, extracted data, and assessed the reporting and methodological quality of the included NMA using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses for network meta-analysis(PRISMA-NMA)statement and A Measurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews,2(AMSTAR-2),respectively.Results A total of 18 NMAs published from 2016 to 2022 were included. The aspects of reporting quality needed to be improved for items 5,11,S1,15,16,20,S5,22,23,and 24.The results of the methodological quality evaluation showed that the overall methodological quality of 3 NMAs(17%)were low,and the remaining 15 NMAs(83%)were critically low,and the items 2,7,10,12,13 and 15 need to be improved. Conclusions The reporting and methodological quality of NMAs of interventions for migraine need improvement.PRISMA-NMA statement and AMSTAR-2 should be followed in conducting and reporting a NMA.
