Curative effect and safety of wind-dispelling medicinal combined with routine therapy of Western medicine in treating stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease:a Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

Abstract：Objectives To analyze systematically the curative effect and safety of wind-dispelling medicinal combined with routine therapy of Western medicine in treating stable angina pectoris(SAP)of coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods The databases of CNKI,WanFang Data,VIP,SinoMed,PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library and Web of Science were retrieved for searching randomized controlled trials(RCT)related to wind-dispelling medicinal combined with routine therapy of Western medicine in treating SAP of CHD from database establishment time to Aug.2022.All documents were screened,data was extracted and risk of bias in included RCT was reviewed by 2 researchers independently,and then a Meta-analysis was conducted by using RevMan 5.3 software.Results There were totally 4 RCT and 278 patients included,and 139 in observation group(treated with wind-dispelling medicinal combined with routine therapy of Western medicine)and 139 in control group(treated with routine therapy of Western medicine).The results of Meta-analysis showed that SAP of CHD was effectively relieved(RR=1.46,95%CI:1.15～1.86,P=0.002),and electrocardiogram was improved(RR=1.61,95%CI:1.18～2.19,P=0.002)in observation group compared with control group,but the curative effect on syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine had no significantly difference between 2 groups(RR=1.13,95%CI:1.00～1.27,P=0.05).There was no statistical difference in incidence rates of adverse events between 2 groups(P>0.05),and there were no adverse events occurred in 2 groups.Conclusion Wind-dispelling medicinal combined with routine therapy of Western medicine has more significant curative effect and higher safety in treating SAP of CHD,while as the limitation of quantity and quality of the included RCT,the conclusions of this study still need to be confirmed by more high-quality studies.
