Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of moxibustion intervention on Shenque acupoint for fatigue subhealth. Methods The eligible fatigue patients(n=72)were chosen and divided into control group and treatment group(each n=36)by using random digital table. The control group was given health education, and treatment group was additionally given moxibustion on Shenque acupoint. The clinical efficacy, and symptom integrals of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and scores of fatigue scale-14(FS-14)and the MOS 36-item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36)before and after the intervention were compared between 2 groups. Results The total effective rate was higher in treatment group than that in control group after the treatment(52.78%vs.13.89%,P<0.05).The symptom integrals of TCM and FS-14 scores decreased significantly(P<0.05),and SF-36 scores increased significantly(P<0.05)in treatment group compared with control group. Conclusion Moxibustion on Shenque acupoint can effectively relieve symptoms, physical fatigue and mental fatigue, and comprehensively improve the quality of life from multiple dimensions including physical health, emotional state, and social function in patients with fatigue subhealth.
