Abstract:analyze the curative effect of nifedipine controlled release tablets combined with irbesartan tablets on essential hypertension (EH). Methods EH patients (n=186) were chosen from Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in Jiaotong Hospital of Qinghai Province from Jan. 2016 to Jan. 2018, and then divided randomly into test group and control group (each n=93). The control group was treated with nifedipine controlled release tablets combined with metoprolol tartrate tablets, and test group was treated with nifedipine controlled release tablets combined with irbesartan tablets. The clinical efficacy, blood pressure and scores of quality of life (QOL) were compared between 2 groups. Results The total effective rate was 97.85% in test group and 86.02% in control group (P<0.01). The blood pressure controlling was superior in test group to that in control group, including 24-h systolic blood pressure (125.84±4.26) mmHg and diastolic blood pressure (80.82±3.24) mmHg (P<0.01). The scores of QOL were significantly higher in test group than those in control group (P<0.05), including body function (47.83±14.35), social function (56.53±13.06), emotional function (60.76±15.62) and psychological function (57.04±15.27). Conclusion Nifedipine controlled release tablets combined with irbesartan tablets has higher curative effect in EH treatment with ideal efficacy of improving blood pressure level.
