Relieving effect of Danqi Tongmai Capsule on Impairment of Coronary Microcirculation in Patients with STEMI after PCI

Abstract：discuss the curative effect of Danqi Tongmai Capsule on Microcirculation Disorder of Coronary Artery after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) in Patients with Acute ST-segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI). Methods STEMI patients (n=84) were chosen from Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University from May 2017 to May 2019. All patients were given treatment of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) after admission, and then divided into 2 groups (each n=42), the control group was treated with routine Western drugs and observation group was treated additionally with Danqi Tongmai Capsule. The changes of heart function, plasma endothelin (ET) and angiotensinⅡ (AngⅡ) were given retrospective analysis. Results The coronary blood flow grading was significantly improved in 2 groups after PCI for 6 month, and the difference between 2 groups had statistical significance. The proportion of patients with grade 3 coronary blood flow was higher in observation group than that in control group after PCI for 1 month (P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, the levels of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and stroke volume (SV) increased significantly, and levels of plasma ET,AngⅡ and left ventricular end-diastolic inner diameter (LVEDd) decreased significantly in 2 groups after treatment. The levels of LVEF and SV were significantly higher and levels of plasma ET,AngⅡ and LVEDd were significantly lower in observation group than those in control group (P<0.05). The incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) was 2.38% in observation group and 14.29% in control group after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion Danqi Tongmai Capsule can effectively relieve disturbance of coronary microcirculation, exert myocardial protective effect and improve therapeutic effect in treatment of acute STEMI.
