Abstract:Objective To analyze the expression of miR-133a and miR-133b in plasma of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and to explore the value of miR-133a and miR-133b in the diagnosis of AMI. Methods From January 2017 to December 2017, the AMI patients were selected as observation group (n=89), and they were treated at the first affiliated hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University. A total of 37 patients in the control group with normal medical history and electrocardiogram were normal controls (n=37). The clinical data of all subjects were collected and plasma samples were taken. Real-time quantitative PCR was used to detect the expression levels of miR-133a and miR-133b in circulating plasma. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) was used to reflect the diagnostic value. Results The levels of miR-133a and miR-133b in plasma of AMI patients were significantly higher than those in the normal control group (P<0.05). he AUC of miR-133a was 0.845 (P<0.01), the sensitivity was 84.5%, the specificity was 69.0%, the missed diagnosis rate was 15.5%, and the misdiagnosis rate was 31.0%. The AUC of miR-133b was 0.702 (P<0.01), the sensitivity was 70.2%, the specificity was 51.7%, the missed diagnosis rate was 29.8%, and the misdiagnosis rate was 48.3%. Conclusion Circulating miR-133a and miR-133b have good specificity and sensitivity in the diagnosis of AMI, and can be used as a biomarker for the diagnosis of AMI.
