Abstract:Objective To observe the curative effect of levosimendan combined with hemo-ultrafiltration in patients with refractory heart failure. Methods The patients (n=102) chosen from Center of Cardiology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Tsinghua University from Jan. 2015 to Oct. 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. On the basis of routine anti-heart failure therapy, all patients were divided into 3 groups: group A (treated with levosimendan), group B (treated with hemo-ultrafiltration) and group C (treated with levosimendan combined with hemo-ultrafiltration). The changes of heart function, body weight (BW), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) were observed in 3 groups before and after treatment. Results The heart function was significantly improved (P<0.05), levels of BW and NT-pro-BNP decreased significantly (P<0.05) and LVEF increased significantly in 3 group after treatment, and the curative effect was higher in group C than that in group A and B (P<0.05). The difference in eGFR had no statistical significance in group B before and after treatment (P>0.05), and difference in eGFR had statistical significance in group A and C before and after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion On the basis of routine anti-heart failure therapy, levosimendan or levosimendan combined with hemo-ultrafiltration can significantly improve heart function and reduce NT-proBNP level, and levosimendan has improvement effect on kidney function. Levosimendan combined with hemo-ultrafiltration had higher curative effect, which is worth clinical promoting.
