Abstract:CTD (The Comparative Toxicogenomics Database) is a comparative toxic genomics database. CTD is a powerful, open research resource for scientific data describing the relationship between chemicals, genes and human diseases. These data are combined with functional and pathway data to help establish the hypothesis of mechanisms for environmentally-affecting diseases, with the primary goal of promoting an understanding of the impact of environmental chemicals on human health. CTD includes a number of accurate data describing cross-species chemical gene/protein interactions and chemical-disease relationships as well as gene-disease relationships. These findings help to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying potential, variable susceptibility and environmental impacts. It helps to understand the complex network of interactions between chemical genes and proteins.Interested researchers can apply for the data to conduct related research. This article aims to introduce the structure and toxicity of the CTD database and the query and acquisition of genetic data.
