Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of rosuvastatin on hemorheology and coagulation function in elderly patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods The patients (n=102) were chosen from Department of Pharmacy of People’s Hospital of Dazhu County in Sichuan Province from Jan. 2016 to Oct. 2017, and then they were divided, according to their hospitalization time sequence, into control group and observation group (each n=51). The control group was given routine therapies, and observation group was additionally given rosuvastatin. The status of hemorheology, coagulation function and adverse reactions were observed and compared in 2 groups after treatment. Results After treatment, the levels of activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) and prothrombin time (PT) increased, and level of fibrinogen (FIB) decreased in 2 groups (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of APTT and PT were higher, and FIB level was lower in observation group than those in control group (P<0.05). The differences in levels of viscosity, platelet aggregation rate (PAG) and whole blood viscosity (WBV) had no statistical significance in control group after treatment compared with those before treatment (P>0.05), while they had statistical significance in observation group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of viscosity, PAG and WBV decreased in observation group compared with control group (P<0.05). There were no severe adverse reactions observed in both groups. Conclusion Rosuvastatin can significantly improve hemorheology and coagulation function in elderly CHD patients, which is worth to be popularized and applied in clinical practice.
