Observation of Yinxing Mihuan oral solution for acute ischemic stroke and its impacts on hemorheology and neurologic function

Abstract：To observe the clinical effects of Yinxing Mihuan oral solution for acute ischemic stroke. Methods 98 patients with acute ischemic stroke were randomly divided into control group (49 cases) and study group (49 cases). The control group received conventional treatments, the study group received Yinxing Mihuan oral solution additionally. The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), the hemorheology indexes, the serum levels of NSE, S100B, Hcy, NPY, NO were determined. the adverse reactions and mortality were recorded. Results After treatment, the hemorheology indexes, the serum levels of NSE, S100B, Hcy, NPY, NO decreased in both groups (P＜0.05). Compared with those in control group, the whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, NSE, S100B and Hcy decreased greatly in study group (P＜0.05). The other indexes were similar (P＞0.05). Conclusion Yinxing Mihuan oral solution could improve neurologic function for acute ischemic stroke patients, and it is worthy of wide clinical use.
