Abstract:Objective To investigate the cognitive impairment and its influencing factors in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). Methods 139 CHF patients were selected as the study group and 50 healthy volunteers were selected as the control group. The cognitive function was evaluated with the Montreal cognitive assessment scale (MoCA), and the relevant data were collected. The non-conditional logistic regression analysis was used, and cognitive function score was used as the dependent variable. Results The incidence of cognitive impairment in group CHF was as high as 78.9% in MoCA score<26. Compared with the control group, the results of cognitive assessment were poor. The two groups had statistical differences in visual space and executive ability, attention, delayed recall and total score (P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that the lower the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was, the poorer the cognitive function of CHF patients[ (OR=5.321 (1.779~22.433), P=0.008], the lower the level of social support was, the worse the cognitive function of CHF patients [OR=0.158 (0.036~0.678)], and the worse the anxiety of the patients with CHF [OR=7.491 (1.897~29.575), P=0.004], the worse the depression is, the worse the cognitive function of CHF patients [OR=6.772 (1.604~28.598)]. Conclusion CHF patients are prone to cognitive impairment, and the incidence is higher, and is affected by LVEF, social support, anxiety and depression.
