Analysis on adverse reactions of ezetimibe

Abstract:Objective To study the occurrence regularity of adverse reactions during ezetimibe administration, and provide a reference for clinical rational medication. Methods The studies related to adverse reactions of ezetimibe were retrieved from CNKI from 2010 to 2018. The cases (n=348) related to adverse reactions of ezetimibe were given statistical analysis in 142 documents accorded with criterion. Results Among 348 cases, the ratio of male to female was 1:1.47, and there were 113 cases (32.47%) aged from 51 to 60. In the cases treated with ezetimibe combined with niacin compound, there were 4 patients with liver dysfunction, and 3 with myalgia. The results of prognosis survey showed that there were 2 patients with hepatic injury. Conclusion The adverse reactions induced by ezetimibe are more occurred in senile and female group. During combined medication, toxic reactions should be paid attention to and examined timely.
