Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between thrombin activatable fibrinolysis inhibitor (TAFI) level and coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods The databases of PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, CNKI, CBM, WanFang Database and VIP Database were retrieved with computer until June 2018. Case-control studies on TAFI and CHD were included and meta-analysis was performed using Stata 12.0 software. Results There were totally 13 studies included. The results of Meta-analysis showed that the level of TAFI-Ag and TAFIa in patients with CHD is higher than healthy people (TAFI-Ag: WMD=20.48, 95%CI: 5.48~55.43, P=0.017;TAFIa: WMD=11.94, 95%CI: 9.09~14.78, P<0.001). The level of TAFI zymogen in patients with CHD is higher than healthy people (WMD=-4.47, 95%CI: -6.56~-2.38, P<0.001). Conclusion High concentrations of TAFI-Ag and TAFIa levels, low concentrations of zymogen levels are risk factors for CHD.
