Abstract:To discuss the influence of targeted nursing on mental state and sleep quality in elderly patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods The elderly CHD patients (n=80) were chosen and randomly divided into observation group and control group (each n=40). The control group was given basic nursing, and observation group was additional given multiple modes of targeted nursing including education, mental nursing and sleeping nursing. The nursing efficacy was compared between 2 groups. Results The scores of anxiety (41.23± 2.52) and depression (43.58±2.67) were significantly lower in observation group than those in control group (P<0.05) after nursing. The scores of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), including sleep latency (0.74±0.22), sleeping time (0.76±0.18), sleep efficiency (0.79±0.24), sleep disorder (0.71±0.23) and daytime function (1.12±0.21), were all lower in observation group than those in control group (P<0.05). The scores of Scale of Effect of Self-Care Agency (ESCA), including health knowledge (27.24±3.16), nursing skills (37.53±4.36), self-concept (28.24± 3.56) and self-care responsibility (28.63±5.23) were all higher in observation group than those in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Targeted nursing can improve mental state and sleeping quality in elderly CHD patients, which has clinical significance.
