Abstract:To study the correlation between serum high mobility group protein B2 (HMGB2) and in-stent restenosis (ISR) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods 155 patients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD) received PCI and followed up one year in Zhangjiagang traditional Chinese Hospital were reviewed. Eighty-seven patients diagnosed with in-stent restenosis were assigned to the case group, and 68 patients without restenosis were designated as the control group. Records of gender, age, history of CHD, clinical diagnosis, PCI, past medical history, history of smoking, and so on were collected. Fasting blood was collected to examine uric acid, blood glucose, triglyceride, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, high sensitivity C reactive protein (hs-CRP) and HMGB2. Analysis of the relationship between the above indexes and the occurrence of ISR by logistic regression. Results The prevalence of diabetes, the number of stents, serum uric acid, total cholesterol and serum hs-CRP, HMGB2 was higher in the case group than those in the control group(P<0.05). The diameter of the stent in the case group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that diabetes, stent number, uric acid, cholesterol, hs-CRP and HMGB2 were risk factors of ISR after PCI, and stent diameter was a protective factor. Conclusion HMGB2 is an independent risk factor of in-stent restenosis after PCI in patients with CHD. Detection of serum HMGB2 can predict prognosis of patients with CHD after PCI treatment, and guide patients to actively carry out prevention and treatment.
