Abstract:Objective To study the changes and predictive value of serum heparan sulfate (HS) and soluble growth stimulation expressed gene 2(sST2) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods AMI patients (n=60) were chosen into test group and meanwhile health controls (n=60) were chosen into control group from the First Affiliated Hospital of Luohe Medical College June 2017 to Dec.2017.The changes of serum HS, sST2, LVEF and abnormal wall motion score (WMS) were detected in 2 groups, and correlation analysis was conducted. Results The levels of serum HS[ (96±7.6) μg/L]and sST2[ (579.52±61.32) pg/ml]were higher in AMI group than those in control group[ (29±5.9) μg/L]and[ (141.09±28.61) pg/ml, P<0.05].Abnormal WMS increased (4.3±0.9) and LVEF decreased (37±6.1) in AMI group compared with control group (P<0.05).The results of correlation analysis showed that serum HS level was positively correlated to WMS (r=0.591, P<0.05), and negatively correlated to LVEF (r=-0.301, P<0.05) in AMI group. The level of serum sST2 was positively correlated to WMS (r=0.305, P<0.05) and negatively correlated to LVEF (r=-0.298, P<0.05) in AMI group. Conclusion The levels of serum HS and sST2 can reflect heart function conditions in AMI patients.
