Abstract:Objective To observe the level changes of T cell subset in peripheral blood and angiotensinⅡ (AngⅡ) and correlation between them in patients with hypertension complicated by left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH).Methods Hypertensive patients (n=160) were continuously chosen and then divided, according to whether or not they were complicated by LVH, observation group (hypertension+LVH) and hypertension group (without LVH), and meanwhile healthy cases (n=40) were chosen into control group. The proportions of Th1, Th2 and Th17 in peripheral blood, and level changes of AngII and angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R) were analyzed and correlation among them were analyzed in 3 groups. Results The value of proportions of Th1 and Th17 and ratio of Th1 to Th2 were significantly higher in observation group than those in hypertension group and control group (P<0.05).The comparison in proportion of Th2 showed that difference had no statistical significance in 3 groups (P>0.05).The levels of AngⅡand AT1R were significantly higher in observation group than those in hypertension group and control group (P<0.05).The levels of AngII and AT1R were positively correlated to proportions of Th1and Th17 and ratio of Th1 to Th2(P<0.05) in patients with hypertension complicated by LVH.Conclusion The proportions of Th1 and Th17 in peripheral blood and levels of AngⅡand AT1R increase significantly in patients with hypertension complicated by LVH, which may be closely related to LVH occurrence and development in hypertensive patients.
