Abstract:Objective To study the correlation between left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and angiopoietin 2(Ang-2) and the prognosis of chronic heart failure (CHF) with a view to providing effective indicators for the effective evaluation of the prognosis of patients with CHF.Methods 129 CHF patients treated in Hebei People's Hospital from January 2013 to January 2015 were selected as the research subjects.According to the follow-up results, they were divided into survival group (98 patients) and death group (31patients).The basic data of all patients, such as age, sex, body mass index (BMI), diabetes history, history of hypertension, and the history of myocardial infarction, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, LVEF, Ang-2 and natriuretic peptide (NP) was compared. Results Compared with the death group, there was no significant difference in gender, age, BMI, history of diabetes, history of hypertension, and history of myocardial infarction in the survival group (all P>0.05).The systolic blood pressure, Ang-2, and NP levels in the survival group were (140.02±6.30) mmHg, (5.69±0.30) pg/ml, (2.70±0.28) pg/ml, which was lower than that of the death group (145.05±6.11) mmHg. (5.92±0.17) pg/ml, (2.94±0.13) pg/ml, and LVEF was (47.54±3.97) %, which was higher than death group (43.29±3.27) %, the difference was statistically significant (both P<0.05).After multivariate logistic regression analysis, Ang-2 was an independent risk factor for CHF death, while LVEF was a protective factor (both P<0.05).Conclusion Clinically, the prognosis of CHF patients can be effectively evaluated by jointly detecting LVEF and Ang-2 levels.
